Doctor says Tuna
I have been home for several days now (doctors orders). I have been quite ill lately. Not sure what the problem is exactly, I think it is an extreme cold mixed with the flu.

So I am board, not much on TV. Everyone else is working or out having fun. Probably playing games and/or dancing.

On the up side someone comes home everyone now and again. So I am here to greet them.

They usualy make me something to eat. Usualy tuna noodle soup (doctord orders). Devon's sister's boyfriend can actually make a killer Tuna melt. He made one for he and I yesterday and I thought he cured me. I swear.. I felt like a ball of energy. A few minutes later my throat hurt again.. but it was great while it lasted.

So please (if you are home reading this) call me, I am so board.

I need to go re-heat my soup!

Tofu Tuna
I had a little dinnr party last night. The majority of Tuna Team were in attendence as well as some other co workers of mine.

I beleive fun was had by all. Everyone complemented me about my Tofu Tuna. I actually had to make a second batch. For those of you who asked for the recipe last night - here it is:

1 block of Touf, sliced thinly,
1 can Tuna,
Chili powder
Mixed Vegetables (red & green perrpers, onions etc)
Fry the tofu in soy sauce and chili power (hot sauce is good too).
Add the veggies
Then add Tuna and black pepper

I was very surprised at it's popularity.

In other news. Ricky got along very well with my co worker Rachael.
(Yes Rachel.. he told me). So he is all smiley today which is nice to see. I believe he may have been in a rut because of fincial problems. hopefully things are turning around for him.

It's a beautiful day so I think we will make some Tuna Snadwiches and head to the mountains.

Have a good one!

Daina we miss you!
So Daina went to California. We are all sad, and will miss her greatly. She called me an hour ago from LAX. She said they served the best Tuna Sushi on the airplane. She was surprised, as was I. Airplane food is always ify.

She informed me that they used a nice lemon sauce to zazz it up. (yes I said zazz).

This only makes sense.. I mean they need to add something to make the flavor better (only because airplance food is prepared way way a head of time, and it is not usually fresh)- not that tuna needs additives.

So it was nice to hear she landed safely. She should have her apt. set up shortly.

In other news, the web site has been a moderate success. I am pleased with the feed back and comments.
I hope you continue to visit and share your thoughts.

Good Night!

The Site is up!
I'm a little nervous. Today we (the tunaforlife team) published our new website for the whole world to see. I feel naked. I feel exposed. I am scared.

I'm probably over reacting..I get like this when I take on a new project. It will pass.

If you want to see it go here.

Advice
Well, I have some good news and bad news. The good news - Ricky has a new girlfriend. She seems like a nice girl. She went to Brown University in Providence Rhode Island. She has a good sense of humor and enjoys independent films.

So what is the bad news?

Well, she is a hardcore vegetarian. It's not that we don't like vegetarianism; the majority of the Tuna For Life Team avoids meat at all costs. The real problem is that she also avoids fish - including Tuna!

I am not discriminating; it's just that we usually eat at Tuna style restaurants. We usually sing Tuna songs, and we usually tell Tuna jokes. So, I cannot figure out where she will fit.

What can we do? Should he stay with her? Is she going to be comfortable with us? I am not sure what to do. Should I tell Ricky what I think? Or does he already know?

Let me know what you think. I am suffering from emotional turmoil and I would appreciate your advice.

Tuna Stew
I am thinking about making a Tuna stew tomorrow. This is a simple yet extravagent meal. I am always stuffed aftering eating Tuna Stew. Let me explain it a little. It's a very popular dish in Korea. First you have boiling water, add garlic, Korean red pepper spice and Kimchee (spicy feremented cabbage), some salt, pepper, and a can of tuna. You can also add tofu or clams if you like. You boil this for a long time, letting the flavor sink in.
You eat this together with a side of white rice.

If you make a pot full, you should be able to feed about 6 people. Possibly more if you have smaller portions.

This is a great meal, it's spicy yet very tasty. On top of all that you get tons of nutrients from the can of Tuna.

Tuna Sandwich
Today my wife made me a delicious tuna sandwich. She used a mild tuna imported from Thailand. I believe she made 3 sandwiches from the one can.

She makes a simple, but very delicious sandwich. She uses mayo, tuna (of course) and pepper. She usually butters one slice of bread. The butter adds a nice flavor and also prevents the sandwich from getting soggy.

My grandmother add pickles to her tuna sandwich - it's nice for a change.

Let me know how you like your Tuna Sandwiches. If you would like a printable version of this recipe just let me know. I'll send you one ASAP.

Tuna Sub
This is the first entry of the Tuna Blog. Honestly I am not sure how we went this long with out it. We have been working hard on the site, collecting our resources etc, so I will keep this entry short.

We had tuna subs today. Footlong submarine sandwiches. They were 12 inches long. It was a mixture of tuna, salad dressing, lettuce, onions, olives, green peppers, pickles and tomatoes - all on wheat sub buns. They were purchased from Subway.
I believe that the Tuna sub from Subway is the most filling of all the submarine sandwiches they have to offer. I have eaten other subs, but they were never as satisifying as the Tuna.

I have some photos of the subs I will post later.

That's all for now. Let me know what you think of the Tuna Sub.
